Volunteer Roles
Research - Conduct a literature review, legislative analysis, program audit, or innovative research study with the goal output of a highlighted institutional gap and/or research informed policy proposal. Policy proposals then are critiqued by peers and experts before being decided if they should be included in the legislative platform.
Public Relations - Work with the YAHC style guide to create novel social media templates, flyers, one-pagers, and ensure all published material matches the YAHC branding. Shape our messaging, digital content, and outreach to the public. Popularize us and help us reach the entire state to further help us pressure legislators.
Operations - Ensure internal circulation of information; ensure all published information is updated, Facilitate spread of information to membership, organize notes from important meeting, maintain newsletter on a scheduled basis, oversee onboarding.
Organizing - Follow an outreach strategy to increase membership and scale the org, coordinate and execute org events, effectively mobilize young adults on campuses and in communities to achieve org goals, track the impact of advocacy efforts.
